St. Gertrude School’s theatre group, The St. Gertude Players, is open to students in grades 4–8. Each year, The Players put on a musical in late winter.

The 2025 musical is James and the Giant Peach, Jr.! In this witty and charming tale, James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree where he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks, and plenty of disagreements along the way. We hope you will join us on this journey of courage and self-discovery.
