St. Gertrude School’s theatre group, The St. Gertrude Players, is open to students in grades 4–8. Each year, The Players put on a musical in late winter.
The 2025 musical is James and the Giant Peach, Jr.! In this witty and charming tale, James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree where he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks, and plenty of disagreements along the way. We hope you will join us on this journey of courage and self-discovery.

All shows are at Medert Auditorium (Madeira High School, 7465 Loannes Drive).
Premium reserved tickets are available for $15, and include two raffle tickets for our delightful raffle basket. No reserved tickets will be sold in the first row due to an obstructed view of the stage. General admission tickets are $9 online and $10 at the door.
Online premium reserved seating sales for all shows will close on Thursday, February 13, at 11 p.m. EST. Online general admission ticket sales will close 24 hours before the beginning of each show. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door with cash, check, or credit card.
Raffle Basket Information
You can also purchase raffle tickets for your chance to win a basket valued at over $200 and filled with fabulous items, such as a peach Stanley Tumbler and an Amazon gift card. All proceeds support the St. Gertrude Players production of James and the Giant Peach, JR.
Raffle basket tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and can be purchased online through Thursday, February 13, and at all shows on February 14, 15, and 16. Tickets purchased online will be completed and entered into the drawing by the fundraising chair. The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, February 18, and notified by phone. Thank you for your support!
