St. Gertrude Players is an extracurricular group open to students in 6th through 8th grade. Students act, sing, dance and learn stage direction and terminology. As they produce a high quality production complete with lights, microphones, costumes, makeup and high quality sets. Past productions include Seussical Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., Cinderella Jr., Beauty & the Beast Jr., Wizard of Oz Jr. and Annie Jr.. These full scale productions are held in a high-school auditorium and many alumni return to help with stage crew and other production assistance.

"The St. Gertrude Players provides the students with such a wonderful and unique opportunity. It is amazing to watch their development from the start of rehearsals to the final production."

"St Gertrude Players was conceived out of a desire to expose our children to another area of fine arts. Participation in musical theatre teaches self confidence, increases the imagination, encourages problem solving, work ethic, poise, leadership, stress management and the ability to work with others of varying ages and skill levels in a team environment. In essence, theatre teaches kids about life! No matter what kids want to be when they "grow up", the opportunity gives them real world skills they can use to succeed. Our goal is to make our productions high-quality while providing a fun experience for our students. We are blessed to have the help and support of our school staff as well as past and present parents and students of St. Gertrude School. Being a part of St. Gertrude Players is fun and wonderful experience to be a part of. "
