Welcome to the Holy Grill!
We are thrilled to be able to offer our students a hot lunch option for $2.75. The Holy Grill operates on an offer vs. serve basis. We offer five lunch components (meat/meat alternate, vegetable, fruit, grain and milk). Students are required to choose three components one of which must be a fruit or vegetable. Our Veggie Bar has a wide variety and is constantly changing and introducing new vegetables. It most often contains Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, carrots, peppers, sugar snap peas, hummus, spinach and broccoli.
The fruit component is a choice of fresh fruit, canned fruit in juice or light syrup or 100% fruit juice. We do not offer ala carte service to assure that students are eating a balanced and healthy lunch.
Milk choices are: Skim White, 1% White or Fat Free Chocolate.
Each student has a lunch account. Money may be added to an account by sending a check or cash in an envelope with the child’s name and homeroom. These envelopes are collected by the homeroom teacher in the morning and given to food service personnel. Families may write just one lunch account check for all their children. As accounts run low students will receive a notice to be taken home.
We could not operate without our generous volunteers. If you would be interested in volunteering a couple of hours a month or learning more about our lunch program please contact me. We always need volunteers.
Please encourage your children to buy lunch. We are always open to suggestions and welcome your comments. Thank you.Pat Baute Food Service Manager 561-8020 x1138
